GMG Group was founded in 1991 by Ettore Guarracino. After learning the art of renovating, remodeling and new construction in both the residential and commercial Boston markets, Ettore’s son Pasquale took over the family business in 1999. He gave the company its current name in 2013, expanding the company’s capabilities by strengthening its core of expert employees and subcontractors.The new name reflects Prime’s sound commitment to being the number one residential contractor and commercial developer in Massachusetts for customer service, craftsmanship, creative problem-solving and fostering client relationships that are built to last.

Prime Building’s Owner and President Pasquale Guarracino began his hands-on field experience in the industry in the early 1990s. In 1999, Pasquale took over the family business and continues to expand Prime’s capabilities for residential and commercial projects.

Project Manager Joseph Gearhart has almost two decades of construction and project supervision in the New England area. He graduated from the Windham Regional Vocational Technical School in Willimantic, Connecticut, where his studies had an emphasis in Architectural Drafting and Design.

Joe began his career framing custom homes for eight years in the Connecticut suburbs before moving to South County, Rhode Island where supervised everything from large renovations in Jamestown and Newport to large multi-unit condo project installations. In 2006, Joe moved to Boston where he worked with several general contractors before finding his home at Prime Building in 2012. Some of his recent work includes:

  • A 10,000 square foot LEED Certified green home in Lincoln, MA
  • Several custom homes in Weston, MA including a 7,900 square foot home at the Weston Country Club
  • A software lab in Kendall Square, MA
  • Office renovations for multiple nonprofit agencies in Boston and Cambridge, MA
